While this level of treatment is most often associated with inner city centers, Rural Healthcare Developers founder Ray Shoemaker recognized the need to take the level of care offered in city care centers and offer it to rural regions – something that was missing when he was growing up in Walnut Grove, MS.

RHD provides analysis of the existing structure and organization of the healthcare center and can place professional, driven managers in the center in order to improve results. They also provide analysis and support to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Health centers and professionals turn to Ray Shoemaker because of his incredible experience within this arena. Following his childhood in Walnut Grove, Ray joined the army where he rose to the rank of Captain in the United States Armed Forces; a time that helped him develop his evident leadership skills.

His success in this also helped him to be recognized within the industry and he soon found himself employed as the director of Behavioral Health Perspectives/Horizons Mental Health Management within the Tri-Peaks Medical Center. During this time he helped triple the revenue of the center to $64 million before eventually establishing Rural Healthcare Developers where he continues to offer his expertise to centers, though manager placements, and to individual professionals, through training seminars and training programs.
